2009/2010 ACC Predictions

ACC outlook

The ACC is still a weak football conference but there are a few teams with some good potential.  VT, GT, FSU and NC are the teams that I think show the most promise with VT as the class of the ACC.....and it's not really close.  Look for Florida State to win the Atlantic division, not so much because FSU is good but because the division is so weak.  Dabo Sweeney at Clemson is going to continue to improve with CJ Spiller returning this year but they are not ready to compete against elite teams.  NC state should be good within the conference but again they are not ready to compete with elite teams.  BC and Wake are probably .500 teams and Maryland is going to have a pretty tough season.  Over in the Coastal division GT is going to be fun to watch with the second season of the Paul Johnson triple option.  Butch Davis has NC on the path and they will certainly be competitive as will Miami. Look for Duke to continue to improve slightly but they are still stinking up the bottom of the ACC along with Virginia.

The Predicted Final Standings are listed below:

Atlantic:
Florida State
Clemson
NC State
Boston College
Wake Forest
Maryland

Coastal:
Virginia Tech
Georgia Tech
North Carolina
Miami
Virginia
Duke

ACC Championship game
